Almora

Gangtok

Guwahati

Mukteshwar is a town and tourist destination in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand in India. Kodagu


Kodagu a district of Karnataka State in southern India is also known by the name of Coorg. Kodagu's capital is Madikeri. Kodagu is situated on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats.

Kodagu is rich in wildlife and has three wildlife sanctuaries-Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary and Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary and one national park- Nagarahole or Rajiv Gandhi National Park.
The flora of the forest consists of Michelia champaca (Champak), Mesua (Ironwood), Diospyros (Ebony and other species), Toona ciliata (Indian mahogany), Chukrasia tabularis, Calophyllum angustifolium (Poon spar), Canarium strictum (Black Dammar), Artocarpus, Dipterocarpus, Garcinia, Euonymus, Cinnamomum, Myristica, Vaccinium, Myrtaceae, Melastomataceae, Rubus (three species), and a rose. Cardamom, Areca, plantains, canes, wild Black pepper, tree and other ferns, and arums are also found here.
In the west of Kodagu the most common trees are the Dalbergia Latifolia (Black wood), Pterocarpus Marsupium (Kino tree), Terminalia Tomentosa (Matthi), Lagerstroemia Parviflora (Benteak), Anogeissus Latifolia (Dindul), Bassia Latifolia, Butea Monosperma, Nauclea Parvifiora, and several species of acacia. In the eastern part of Kodagu Teak and Sandalwood are also grown.
The Asian Elephant, Tiger, Leopard, Dhole, Gaur, Boar, and several species of Deer comes under the fauna of Kodagu.

Nisargadhama- Formed by the river Kaveri, Nisargadhama is an island and picnic spot near Kushalanagara.

Dargah Sharief of Yemmemadu- Dargah Sharief, the Holy Tomb, of Yemmemadu is one of the most sacred shrines for Muslims in Kodagu district.
Mandal Patti is 28 km from Madikeri.
How to reach Kodagu-

There is a good road connections to the east and west. The nearest railway stations are Mysuru and Hassan to reach at Kodagu. If you want to come here by air than the nearest airport is Mangalore International Airport which is around 180 km away.

Auli

Auli, the famous ski destination is located in the Chamoli district in the lofty peaks of Himalayan mountains of Uttarakhand, India. This small town has now become the major tourist attractions of Uttarakhand.

The main attraction of Auli is skiing. Auli is considered as the best skiing slope found in Asia. A tiny hill station in Chamba District, is Khajjiar. While traveling to Khajjiar from Dalhousie, one is tempted to stop at Kalatop which is undoubtely famous for its wildlife sanctuary. Here, you can have a different view of species of wildlife.

Coonoor

Lahaul Spiti

Panchgani

Panchgani is an fantastic mountain retreat in the Krishna valley. Panchgani is a well-known hill station of Maharashtra on the highway to Mahabaleshwar from Pune. Panchgani is known for its English style boarding schools and old Parsi houses that front the forests.

The five hills surrounding Panchgani are toppep by a volcanic plateau, which is the second highest in Asia after the Tibetan plateau. These plateaus, are known as table land.

Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri is a city and a municipal board in Agra district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Today, Fatehpur Sikri is a deserted, phantom city.

Tomb of Shaikh Salim Chisti is the tomb visited by many seeking fulfilment of their wishes. This tomb was built in 1570.

Karawan Serai and Hiran Minar is a large courtyard that is visited by merchants.

Palace of the Christian Wife is located close to the Jodha Bai Palace and is worth seeing.

Panch Mahal that is a five storied architectural marvel and Akbar's personal citadel of pleasure.

Diwan-i-Khas is a Fatehpur Sikri's architectural gem, which is designed in a unique style and is best known for it's interior decoration. This stone column also support a flat topped dome which is 6 m high.

Diwan-i-Aam is a hall of public audience that was designed for large public gatherings. Itmad-ud-daula's Tomb, Chini-ka-rauza, Ram Bagh are other attractions.

The Hill Station Chail

Chail hill station lies at a height of 2,250 metres above the sea level. This station is surrounded by a thick cover of majestic, soaring deodars, Shimla was just 45 kms away, and most significantly, the hill of Chail was decidedly higher than the then British - controlled Shimla.

Chail is built on three hills, the palace is on Rajgarh Hill, the Residency Snow View once occupied by British resident is on Pandhewa Hill and on the third hill Sadh Tiba where Chail is situated. Satluj Valley, Shimla and Kasauli are also visible at night from here.

Bharatpur

Bharatpur is a beautiful city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was founded by Maharaja Suraj Mal in 1733. The trio of Bharatpur, Deeg and Dholpur has played an important part in the Jat history of Rajasthan.

Trichy
