Varanasi

Varanasi home to Banaras Hindu University, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies and Sampurnanand Sanskrit University is located in the middle Ganga valley of North India, in the Eastern part of the state of Uttar Pradesh, with the left crescent-shaped bank of the Ganga river.

The Temples:

Varanasi which is called as the city of temples is home to numerous Hindu temples which attract a large number of devotees from all over the world. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple also known by the name Golden Temple, Durga Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, Kedaresvara Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple and Shitala Temple are the notable tourist places here.
