Almora

Almora is considered as the cultural heart of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. People mainly communicate in Hindi, English and Kumaoni languages. Nanda Devi Temple is the main attraction of the place. Nanda Devi is said to have been the Goddess of the kings of the Garhwal and Kumaon regions. Nanda Devi is believed to be the destroyer of evil.
